James Cameron confirms that he’s going to be working on Alita sequels in a recent interview.

James Cameron is listing his coastal ranch in California for 33 million dollars

In a recent interview with Forbes, James Cameron admits that part of the reason he is selling his coastal ranch in California is because of future films that he will be working on.

“And on Avatar, I’m working in Wellington and Los Angeles. And on the new Alita: Battle Angel films, I’ll be working in Austin, so it just didn’t make sense for us anymore.”

Austin, Texas is where Robert Rodriguez’s Trouble Maker Studios is located as well as the site of the Iron City set. We can safely assume that Rodriguez will be returning to direct. This is another confirmation that work is in progress directly from James Cameron’s mouth but it’s not an “official announcement” of a sequel greenlight.

We’re still waiting on an official announcement but this is great to hear from Cameron in the meantime.
