Alita: Battle Angel Producer Jon Landau Has Passed Away at Age 63

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Jon Landau has passed away at the age of 63.

Jon Landau was known lately as “James Cameron’s right-hand man” and he has enjoyed a successful career as a producer in Hollywood. He has been a very important person to the Alita Army since 2019 because he has been vocal and supportive of our efforts to build a positive fan movement to support the film Alita: Battle Angel and encourage Disney to greenlight a sequel to the 2019 film. In some ways, Jon Landau was like a father to the Alita Army. It was because of his reachability and his encouragement that we were able to press on and accomplish many amazing campaigns over the past five years. We knew that Jon loved us, and we loved him in return. Jon Landau will always have a special place in the hearts of the Alita Army.
